Cleaning & charging Chrysocolla Here, Chrysocolla is a bit more demanding than more robust stones – but if you know its peculiarities, care is quite simple. 🚫 No water This is the most important thing: Chrysocolla does not tolerate water. Its low Mohs hardness (2.5–3.5) and porous structure make it vulnerable – prolonged water contact can attack the surface and dull the color in the long term. No soaking, no rinsing under the tap. ✅ What works instead Dry wiping with a soft, dry cloth – completely sufficient for everyday use Smudging with sage, palo santo, or frankincense – my personal favorite because it doesn't touch the stone Moonlight – place it in moonlight overnight, ideally full moon; this is gentle and very effective Selenite crystal plate – simply place Chrysocolla on a selenite disc overnight; selenite cleanses and charges without any contact Singing bowl – sound vibration is a gentle cleansing method that Chrysocolla loves ☀️ And the sun?
