Cleansing and charging crystals with selenite, clear quartz, and amethyst
Selenite slabs · Clear quartz slabs · Amethyst clusters · Selenite wands
Anyone who lives with crystals eventually realizes: stones need a break, too. After many days worn on the body or weeks on the windowsill, you want them to feel as clear and vibrant as they did on the first day. That is exactly what charging and cleansing stones are for – a little ritual with which you give something back to your crystals.
Which stones are suitable for cleansing and charging?
- 🤍 Selenite slab – silky white, the classic for energetically cleansing and charging stones and jewelry. Selenite is traditionally considered a self-cleansing stone.
- 🌙 Selenite wand – light and handy, for sweeping over your stones or simply placed next to them.
- 💧 Clear quartz slab – clear as water, considered an amplifier and traditionally used to charge other crystals.
- 💜 Amethyst cluster and amethyst geode – in their sparkling hollows, tumbled stones and jewelry are traditionally cleansed and supplied with new energy.
How to charge your crystals
Place your stones or jewelry on a selenite or clear quartz slab or in an amethyst cluster and let them rest there overnight. On full moon nights, many people also place their charging station by the window. And if you like, you can smudge your stones beforehand with sage or Palo Santo – you can find everything for that under Incense and accessories.
Beautiful and practical at the same time
A clear quartz slab or an amethyst cluster is not just a charging station, but also an eye-catcher on a shelf, on the bedside table, or on your altar. This way, your jewelry has a fixed place in the evening – and your stones have a place to breathe.
Frequently asked questions about cleansing and charging
How often should I charge my crystals?
That is entirely individual. Many people charge stones they wear daily once a week or after particularly intense days. For crystals in the home, one ritual per lunar cycle, for example during the full moon, is often enough.
Can I clean selenite with water?
No, selenite is very soft and does not tolerate water – it becomes dull and can dissolve. Simply wipe it off with a dry, soft cloth.
Can I also charge jewelry on a charging slab?
Yes, absolutely. You can place necklaces, bracelets, and rings with gemstones on a selenite or clear quartz slab overnight. This way, your jewelry also has a beautiful place to be stored.
Well stored afterwards
After charging, your stones and jewelry can be kept in a soft pouch. This keeps them protected, prevents them from bumping into each other, and ensures you always have them at hand, even when traveling.
