Green aventurine is a quartz with a hardness around 7. It owes its green color to inclusions of fuchsite, a chromium-bearing mica. When you turn it in the light, these inclusions shimmer – this is aventurescence, the effect that gave the stone its name.

Green Aventurine has long been considered a luck stone for new opportunities. It fits especially well in 2027 because it stands not for a big leap, but for growth: the plant you sowed in 2026 and are now watering. The goat loves the green meadow – and this stone brings it to your desk.

Rhodochrosite, also called manganese spar, is a manganese carbonate. Manganese gives it its rose-red color, often with light, wavy bands. With a Mohs hardness of only 3.5 to 4, it is delicate – not really a stone for a pocket, but rather a companion for quiet moments. In Argentina, it is the national stone and is called the "Inca Rose."

Why a heart stone among the success stones? Because the goat is a communal animal. Success in 2027 is often created with others: in teams, in collaborations, in friendships that support you. Rhodochrosite is traditionally associated with self-worth and heart warmth – with the permission to be successful while still remaining soft.

Pyrite is an iron sulfide and crystallizes in the cubic system—in Navajún, Spain, it grows in such exact cubes that many first assume human hands are involved. With a hardness of 6 to 6.5, it is quite hard. Its name comes from the Greek pyr, fire, because it sparks when struck.

And that is exactly why it gets to stay: A stone that carries fire in its name while being so earthy, so solid, and so geometric embodies the motto of the year—fire creates earth. Pyrite is associated with prosperity, willpower, and structure in crystal healing. In 2027, it is your stone for implementation.

Carnelian is a chalcedony, a microcrystalline quartz, with a hardness of 6.5 to 7. Its orange color comes from finely distributed iron oxides. A quality tip: much "carnelian" on the market is dyed agate. Genuine carnelian shows a cloudy, vibrant color without sharp stripes, and the color does not collect in cracks.

In 2026, carnelian was the spark. In 2027, it becomes the endurance stone—for the stretch after the start, once the initial euphoria has faded and it comes down to sticking with it. Combined with pyrite, you have both plan and drive in one hand.

Labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar with a hardness of 6 to 6.5, named after the Canadian peninsula of Labrador. Its play of color is called labradorescence: deep within, it contains fine layers where light waves overlap. Depending on the angle, it suddenly flashes blue, green, or golden—and then turns grey again the next moment.

This glowing from within the darkness makes labradorite the stone for transitions. In crystal healing, it is said to protect the aura without cutting off intuition. Crystal Calendar 2027: only the dates that count 📅

For 2026, I listed every month for you. This time, I’m keeping it lean: Here are the six moments when the year noticeably shifts—and the stone I recommend for each.

A quick note on Mercury: "Retrograde" means that, as seen from Earth, the planet appears to move backward across the sky. In astrology, these weeks are considered a time when communication hits snags and plans are delayed—good for revisions, less good for signing major contracts.

For your lunar year starting March 22nd: a faceted moonstone necklace to accompany you daily, and moon phase decor with tourmaline and pyrite to bring the lunar rhythm visibly onto your wall.

The highlight of the year is August 2nd, 2027. Near Luxor, Egypt, the sun will disappear completely for over six minutes—a total eclipse of this length over land will not happen again this century. Southern Spain is also in the zone of totality. Here in Germany, you will see it as a partial eclipse in the late morning, in Bavaria, for example, from 10:00 to 12:20.

Important: Never look directly at the sun without certified eclipse glasses—not even when it is mostly covered. You can hold your labradorite in your hand during the event, nice and relaxed. 🌌

Your Year of the Goat Ritual for February 6th, 2027 🕯️

The evening of February 6th is dark—the new moon is in the sky, and the Chinese New Year has begun. A moment made for deciding what should continue to grow, rather than just starting something new. If you are not yet familiar with new moon rituals, you can find the basics in my New Moon Ritual.

Preparation: You need a quiet space, a candle in warm orange or red for the Yin-fire, a piece of paper, a pen, and three to four of the stones mentioned above. If you like, you can cleanse the room beforehand with some incense from our incense collection.

1. Step 1 – Arriving (Pyrite): Take the pyrite in both hands. Feel its weight and breathe deeply into your belly three times. You are here, you are safe.
2. Step 2 – Looking back (Moonstone): Hold the moonstone and write down three things you started in 2026. Small or large, everything counts.
3. Step 3 – Choosing (Green Aventurine): Read the three points and ask your gut feeling: Which of these should grow in 2027? Circle exactly one.
4. Step 4 – Igniting (Rutilated quartz): Light the candle, place the rutilated quartz in front of it so the golden needles catch the candlelight, and speak your intention aloud—in the present tense, as if it were already true.
5. Step 5 – Anchoring (your yearly stone): Choose one of the stones as a companion for 2027 and place it where you will see it every day. Fold the note and place it underneath.
