Brief rinsing under lukewarm water is generally not a problem for Amphibole Quartz, as quartz with a Mohs hardness of 7 is water-resistant. However, prolonged soaking should be avoided, as the amphibole inclusions may react more sensitively than the quartz itself. For energetic charging, we recommend moonlight (especially during a full moon), a selenite plate, or gentle smudging with Palo Santo or sage. Direct, intense sunlight over a long period can cause the warm color tones in some specimens to fade.
