This ametrine tumbled stone from Bolivia embodies two worlds – the deep violet of the amethyst and the warm gold of the citrine, flowing seamlessly into one another, without boundary, without compromise. Ametrine is commercially mined in only one place in the world: the Anahí mine in the Bolivian rainforest. Legend has it that a Spanish conquistador received the mine as part of his dowry in the 17th century when he married Princess Anahí of the Ayoreo people. When he tried to take her homeland, she was killed by her own tribe – and is said to have given him an ametrine as she died, half violet like her grief, half golden like her love. Whether legend or fact, the stone's colors still tell this story today. The science behind it: The two colors arise from different temperatures and iron content during crystal growth – amethyst and citrine in the same crystal, at the same time, under different conditions. Nowhere else in the world does this occur with such quality. 🌍

How do I clean and recharge my Ametrine?
Ametrine combines the beneficial properties of amethyst and citrine: rinse briefly under lukewarm water and dry thoroughly. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as the violet hues can fade. Moonlight is ideal, especially during a full moon. Burning palo santo or sage gently cleanses its energy. Placing it on a selenite stick overnight allows it to recharge quietly and evenly. 💜💛
Is ametrine rare – and why do the colors vary so much?
Yes – genuine ametrine is only commercially available from the Anahí mine in Bolivia. No two crystals display the same color gradient: sometimes violet predominates, sometimes gold, and sometimes both are evenly distributed. This depends on which part of the crystal the stone was cut from and what temperatures prevailed during its growth. Therefore, every tumbled stone is truly unique – and no photo will show your exact stone. 💜💛
