Larimar is mined exclusively in a single mine in the Dominican Republic – nowhere else on Earth. Dominican Miguel Méndez discovered it on the beach in 1974 and named it after his daughter Larissa and the sea – mar . Since then, it has been considered a national treasure. Even the Taíno, the indigenous people of the Caribbean, knew of blue stones from the sea and considered them gifts from the water gods. And anyone who has ever held it in their hand understands why: No photo can capture this blue. You have to feel it. 🌊

How do I clean and recharge my Larimar pendant?
Larimar doesn't like being soaked in water for long – a quick rinse under running water is sufficient. It's best to recharge it in moonlight or by placing it on a selenite stick. Burning it with palo santo works wonderfully. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can cause the color to fade over time.
Is Larimar a rare stone?
Yes – Larimar is one of the rarest gemstones in the world. It is mined exclusively in a single mine in the Dominican Republic. Deposits are limited, and demand is growing. Choosing Larimar today is a decision for something truly special.
