The Star Rose Quartz from Madagascar holds a secret within it that only reveals itself in the right light – a delicate, wandering light star that glides across its pristine surface as soon as you move the sphere in direct light. This rare phenomenon is called asterism, and it makes each of these spheres a true wonder of nature. It is best visible directly in sunlight.
The relatively intense pink color – sometimes milky soft, sometimes almost transparent with delicate streaks like frozen clouds. On the included wooden stand with the Flower of Life symbol, it immediately comes into its own and becomes the centerpiece on any table, altar, or windowsill.

Star Rose Quartz is a rare variety of rose quartz that contains tiny, needle-like rutile or dumortierite inclusions. These inclusions bundle direct light and create the fascinating phenomenon of asterism – a visible, usually six-rayed light star on the surface. Not every rose quartz shows this effect; Star Rose Quartz is therefore rarer and particularly sought after by collectors.
How do I recognize real Rose Quartz?
Real rose quartz is a natural mineral with a Mohs hardness of 7, which shows slight streaks, clouds, inclusions, and natural irregularities – exactly as seen in our photos. Crystal-clear, flawless spheres without any markings are often an indication of colored glass or synthetic material. Our Star Rose Quartz comes directly from Madagascar and is 100% natural stone.
How do I care for my Rose Quartz sphere properly?
Rose quartz can be easily cleaned under lukewarm, running water – simply rinse briefly and dry with a soft cloth. For recharging, moonlight is particularly suitable: simply place the sphere on the windowsill overnight. Prolonged, direct sunlight should be avoided, as it can slightly fade the delicate pink color over time. The wooden stand can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.
How do I see the light star in Star Rose Quartz?
The asterism is best seen with a direct, pinpoint light source – a flashlight, an LED candle, or direct sunlight is sufficient. Slowly rotate the sphere: the star will move across the surface with the movement. This enchanting effect is clearly visible in our video.
