Yes! Our Black Tourmalines have a compact, dense structure and are excellently suited as direct water stones. Tourmaline is waterproof and non-toxic – simply rinse thoroughly under running water before first use and clean with a soft brush. Then place it in a glass carafe, fill with fresh water, and let it steep for at least 2–3 hours – overnight is ideal. Since Black Tourmaline is considered a particularly strong absorber, you should regularly clean the stones under running water and energetically recharge them on an amethyst geode or in the morning sun. Many describe the water as clearer and softer in taste.
